Hi, I’m Kristen.

I’m the person behind Maine Light Housekeeping. I believe that a clean home can make a surprisingly big difference in how life feels.

I’ve spent my life doing wok that is hands-on, people-centered, and useful: from teaching and guiding to collections care management at museums and galleries. I currently work emergency medical services. I’ve always been drawn to jobs where I can show up, solve a problem, and leave someone’s day a little better than how I found it.

Maine Light Housekeeping grew out of the same idea.

I know that sometimes cleaning isn’t really about cleaning. It’s about coming home with a new baby. Recovering from surgery. Getting ready to sell a house. Preparing for a family gathering. It can be about having too much on your plate or simply needing another set of capable hands.

My goal is to provide thoughtful, dependable help without judgement-and to treat your home with the same care I would want someone to bring into mine.
